The mission of the Foster Middle School Library is

• to support the school’s curriculum
• to assist students and staff in becoming effective users of information
• to promote an enjoyment of literature.

To accomplish this mission, Foster Library will:

• Provide access to materials in a variety of formats
• Work with teachers in designing instruction and learning activities
• Instruct individuals and classes in the use of information skills and library technology
• Contact outside sources for additional resources
• Enhance student’s reading experience with author visits, rewards, and book talks
