Mrs. Coakley

Welcome to Mrs. Coakley’s 6^th grade math class.  At Foster, our mission is to provide a quality learning experience for every student, every day, without exception.  As your teacher, I will do my best to complete that mission. With your help, we can make this year a success.

Over the course of the school year, we will be covering many essential topics that will serve as a foundation for all future math classes and for life. 

The following are supplies you will need for class:

1.Pencil and eraser

2.Colored ink pen (for checking work)

3.Wide-ruled paper and graph paper

4.Agenda

Expectations:

1. Bring supplies to class each day.
2. Be in your seat and working when the bell rings.
3. Turn in assignments when they are due.
4. Be respectful of others, including the teacher.

Homework:   

This includes all work that is assigned in class and not finished, or work that is assigned to be completed at home.  All math work must be done in pencil.

Grading:  

Grades will be based upon the following:

1.      Home and class work

2.      Participation

3.      Tests and quizzes

4.      Group work
