MRS. HIRSHBURG - LANGUAGE ARTS
COURSE EXPECTATION
1. To help you express your ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and on paper.
2. To improve your research skills.
3. To increase your knowledge of literary terms.
4. To help you understand and defend a variety of viewpoints.
5. To develop your ability to analyze information from different sources – books, documents, pictures, cartoons, graphs, charts, and even maps.
To achieve these goals the class will use a combination of lecture, group work, and discussion. Periodically, student essays, reports, or presentations will be required.
PROCEDURES
1. When you enter the classroom each day, check the activities listed on the chalkboard and begin the daily work.
2. When you are absent, check the assignment board. Ask for any handouts you need to complete your missed work.
3. Be on time with all supplies necessary for the class every day.
4. Be respectful toward other classmates and yourself.
5. Be productive and participate in class activities by using your time wisely.
