This class will provide a basic understanding of science concepts and experimental design.
Students will learn through classroom discussion, completion of assignments, tests, and participation in labs.
Students will be assessed by their assignments, participation, science projects, and lab.
Text Book: Prentice Hall Science Explorer: The Oklahoma 6th grade edition.
Workbooks: Standardized Test Preparation and Reading Guide Workbook
Projects: A science fair project will be assigned in April, and will be due in May.
Grading Policy:
90-100% = A
80-89% = B
70-79% = C
60-69% = D
59% and below = F
Make-up work: If a student is absent from class, look at another student’s agenda and copy down any missing assignments. If a worksheet was given that day or a lab was done, please notify the teacher that you need the work. The student is responsible for making sure they get the assignments missed. Please have the work completed within two days.
